Teams will be allowed a maximum of 8 players on their roster per team entered. All bowlers on roster must be from the same school and players designated on a particular team must remain on that team for entire event.

Format: This tournament will consist of 9 games of five-person team match play with bonus pins for winning the match (6 games Saturday and 3 games Sunday) and best 3 of 5 Baker game single elimination brackets. The number of teams advancing to the elimination bracket will be determined by number of teams entered in the various divisions as outlined below

If a division has less than 6 teams a 4-team bracket will be used. If a division has six (6) to nine (9) teams, a 6-team bracket will be used with the top two (2) teams receiving a bye into the second round. If 10-13 teams then an 8-team bracket with no byes. If 14 to 16 teams, then an 8-team bracket, with 2 byes. If there are 17 or more teams, then an 8-team bracket and the top four (4) teams will receive a bye.
Teams will receive 15 minutes of practice prior to each round of Qualifying. For teams advancing to the Elimination round, they will receive 15 minutes prior to the first best 3 of 5 match. In each subsequent match, all bowlers will receive 2 balls on each lane. The higher qualifying team chooses starting lane during the Elimination round.
Scholarship payout will be determined by the bracket results. Power Point Rankings will be determined by total qualifying pins with bonus.

Match Play Points: For the Qualifying round, each team will bowl against the other team on the same pair of lanes. Teams will receive 50 pins bonus for each opponent defeated and 25 pins for each opponent tied. If a team is bowling unopposed a target score of 900 will be used, if there is a Women’s Division then a target of 800 for Women will be used.

Position Ties: In the case of a tie for the last spot in the Baker Elimination round, a one game Baker match will be used to break it. If a tie exists for a bye and a non-bye position then a one game Baker match will be used to determine the higher spot. If a tie still exists for either of the above, then a (1) one ball sudden death shoot-out will be used until the tie is broken using one player chosen from each team. If a tie exists for any of the bye positions then the team with the higher scratch team game from that day will earn the higher spot. Coin flip will determine who will pick starting lane. All bowlers will receive 2 balls on each lane prior to the first Baker match.

Elimination Round Ties: If a baker game ends in a tie then each team will get ½ a point each. If both teams have the same match play record at the end of a 5 game Baker match then one (1) additional Baker game will be used to determine the team that will move on to the next round. If a tie still exists, then a (1) one ball sudden death shoot-out will be used until the tie is broken using one player chosen from each team.

Schedule: Events will start as scheduled; no make up frames will be allowed. Bowlers must take “0” for any missed frames.

Substitutions: (Rule 404-Collegiate) Three substitutions are permitted per regular team game and each Baker system game. A student-athlete once removed from competition cannot return to bowl for the remainder of the regular team game or Baker system game. Prior to each Baker game team lineups will be determined.

Conduct: Each team will either have the school coach, advisor, or team captain designated as the team representative. He or she will be responsible for the team at all times. Inappropriate behavior, as determined by the Tournament Officials, shall be cause for disqualification after the team has been given one warning. In addition, Coaches and players representing their college/university are prohibited from the following:

Drinking alcoholic beverages in the bowling center until competition has been completed for the day and/or while in team uniforms at any time.

Smoking not allowed in the bowling center during the tournament

Lane Courtesy: Teams will follow one (1) lane courtesy in order to speed up play.

Other: In the case of any unforeseen circumstances arising not covered by these rules, the Tournament Director has the authority to adopt a rule to cover that circumstance.
